Health Information Management

The HIM department at Alleghany Memorial Hospital collects, manages, and stores the health information of our patients. We strive to ensure the quality, availability, and security of these records.  Our HIM department functions to serve AMH patients, physicians, staff and outside facilities by providing information that will assist in the treatment of the patient. 

The following services are provided by our department:

·    Record Processing
·        Coding
·        Transcription
·        Release of Information
·        HIPAA information
·        Credentialing
·        Various Statistical Reports

Our hours are Monday-Friday 8AM-4:30PM (Closed weekends and holidays)
