I am 97 years old and was a patient in Alleghany Memorial Hospital twice in February. On my second stay I had surgery for input of a Pace Maker. Dr. Thore and all the staff were wonderful! I was so happy that Alleghany Memorial could provide me with this type surgery so that I could be close to home for my family. I just can't say enough good things about the great care and attention I received from everyone at Alleghany Memorial. We are so fortunate to have our local hospital.

During the fall of 2009, I had the occasion to take my mother to Alleghany Memorial Hospital. She was having extreme shortness of breath and began having irregular heartbeats. An x-ray revealed that she was suffering from a broken rib which had occurred when she fell the previous week and the broken rib had now punctured a lung. Because of the excellent care given my mother by the entire staff and with divine intervention, my mother recovered and is doing well. I do not believe we would have received the efficient and professional care at any other health care facility. My family will always be indebted to the staff for all they did for my Mom.
