The Alleghany memorial Hospital Thrift Shop opens every year around the middle of May thru mid September, fully stocked with clothing for the family, household items, books, trinkets, and collectibles. The shop is open Wednesday through Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Betty Walker, Thrift Shop Coordinator, does a fabulous job of organizing the donated inventory and keeping the shop staffed with 40 plus volunteers.

Our communities benefit from every person giving a little of themselves by donating items, making purchases, or by the many hours volunteered by the dedicated workers. Each year everyone works hard to raise funds to purchase equipment for Alleghany Memorial Hospital.

Since 1991, when the Thrift Shop first opened, the volunteers have raised over $425,000 for the benefit of Alleghany Memorial Hospital and the communities we serve.
